Hi all yesterday I modified the security level on my SuSE 9.1 from secure to easy. Well, to-day I can't make an on-line update anymore. The error is something like "error checking patch signature" (I receive such a message in Italian so I don't know if the translation is correct). Any idea? emilio

Does your problem go away if you change back to secure?

Do as root in text mode (either in a terminal window or on a virtual terminal): export LANG="en_US.UTF-8" yast IIAC, yast will show up in English instead of Italian. Now try again to do an online update. If you get an error message, it should be in English. Please post this exact English error message and we'll see if it does ring a bell at someone. Cheers, Leen

No, it doesn't.

Then it is /probably/ not related and merely a coincidence... ...
Well, here the message:
Error Signature check for patch info files failed Cannot load patch information
Then controlling Details:
Patch:<HTML><HEAD>
That's not an info file or so, but looks like part of a web page. Makes me wonder what mirror you use for YOU? Maybe the mirror is not up to date, or misses something. Try ftp.suse.com or ftp.gwdg.de. Cheers, Leen
