[oS-en] Can not open an existing mysql database in Libre Office. [and Solved]
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I'm trying to open an existing mysql database using LO. I'm following the tutorial for 7.3 https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/9/99/GS7308-GettingStartedWithBas... https://nextcloud.documentfoundation.org/s/BimPSBPLf3TRbTR I click "Create Base Database". I get a window exactly as in the tutorial, "Figure 93: Step 2 of Database Wizard: Set up MySQL connection" (<https://nextcloud.documentfoundation.org/s/BimPSBPLf3TRbTR>) I enter database details. It matches "Figure 94: Step 3 of Database Wizard: Set up MySQL server data", except on the database name, which is mine, of course: Biblioteca Server: localhost Then I have to enter user name, password required, exactly as "Figure 95: Step 4 of Database Wizard: Set up user authentication" says. On first attempt, I always get an error on connection test. Now I try to repeat in order to post the error, but Base is not colaborating. So I click "next". I select "Yes, register the database for me" and "open the database for editing", then Finish. And this time it works, I can save. The previous time the "finish" window did not disapear, and LO crashed. So I was typing this as I went through the details, to ask you... But this time all is working. So we can at least say with a probability of 50% the working electron for LO/MySQL can be found on your desktop? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
