[opensuse] 11.2, e17 - Network Manager does not start on login (Enlightenment Devs, Users)
Listmates, Dmitry: On 11.2 i586 (probably x86_64 as well), when using network manager to handle wireless connections, logging in to e17 will leave you without a way to start networking. The rpms are from ../repositories/X11:/Enlightenment/openSUSE_11.2 and this laptop has the Atheros card that is working fine in kde & gnome. Generally with enlightenment in 11.0, if network manager has been started in a prior desktop, then it would continue to work fine after logging out (for example from gnome) and logging in to e17. For some reason in 11.2, this does not happen. If I boot the box and start gnome, the network immediately connects as it should. However, if I log out from gnome and log into e17, the network is dead and has to be brought up by hand. I know I could probably just add network manager to Setting->Apps-StartupApps, but shouldn't that already be configured? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
