Hi, I've been strugling with sendmail for while and got to the point that everthing works, but only if I restart the sendmail using "kill -HUP _____ " command. When I reboot computer sendmail does not work propertly (but it runs) and I have to go through the same procedure (of restarting sendmail). I tried copy /etc/sendmail.Suse.cf to /etc/sendmail.cf but there was no change. When I tried to copy other way around it got worse. In the file /etc/sysconfig/mail i set option: MAIL_CREATE_CONFIG="no" Plesase help me out, Wojtek

What I have done is I have let YaST2 create my /etc:sendmail.cf and then once it is generated I then set the option MAIL_CREATE_CONFIG="no" since I had a valid sendmail configuration Try this way and then post your problems starting with what yopu have configured and how ? -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx
Thanks, for response and help. I've done something similar. I erased old sendmail.cf file and let the Yast create its own. It worked perfectly and now my queue is in /var/spool/queue instead of /var/spool/clientmqueue. Just one more question. I would like to use some other smtp server to relay my mail. I would like to use yahoo smtp agent, smtp.mail.yahoo.com, but when I use it, it doesn't work since he needs authorization that I'm really authorized to send mail through it. Any idea how to do this?
