Re: [SLE] YOU behind a firewall
Hi Lester,
I'm using fou4s ( www.gaugusch.at/fou4s/ ) and that works fine - rpm installed first time on 8.0 and ran from the box - using the proxy setting YOU ignores.
Can you tell me what your settings are because I am having as much trouble running fou4s as I am running YOU (& apt4rpm for that matter) despite some significant help from peopel aparently involved in the projects. Do you know what kind of proxy you are using? James C. I've got Wingate running on the ISDN machine, and talk to that so I may be lucky that this works <g> I've just set up another machine using Via's Mini-ITX motherboard. All I changed was FTP_PROXY and HTTP_PROXY, setting both to http://engineering:80/ where engineering is the target machine. Don't ask why FTP should point at the HTTP port, but that is what the notes say, and it works. I copied the patches archive from the original fou4s machine ( /var/cache/fou4s ), installed the rpm and ran fou4s - all updates applied with no repeat big downloads! -- Lester Caine ----------------------------- L.S.Caine Electronic Services
