I would like to get a small UPS, but linux is only configuring one of my com ports at boot, and I need it for my modem. I am booting lilo. If I boot with loadlin both of my com ports get configured, so I know it isn't a hardware problem. I use SuSE 5.1, and the same thing occured in RedHat 5.0 (for the 3 weeks I ran it anyway ;) ). I hate to boot loadlin just to get both ports configured. I have reached the point where I don't require windows anymore and was going to remove it from my system. If anyone can suggest what the problem is I would be indebted to you. -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
