I am a little new to linux and have acouple of questions about the suse distribution. Does it come with a ppp configuration tool?
Not yet, 5.2 will have PPP configuration integrated in our admin toll (YaST).
Thanks for your reply. Do most people just make there own scripts then? I did that with my first linux distribution I tried?
Can you use redhat rpm's with it?
Yes, our distribution is also packed with rpm. The pathes may be slighty different?!
Is there an ftp site for suse like for redhat where you can find the latest programs in a rpm format that is compatible with suse?
Is it based on glibc?
No. We look forward to use libc with SuSE 6.0, which will be available as a DEC-Alpha version too!
That good because redhat 5.0 is a big pain in the butt with there glibc. Every time I tried to apply one of there fixes another problem developed. I think they rushed it
