I am trying to setup VMware to use my serial port under a windows 2k guest OS. I have used the instructions to add a new device for /dev/ttyS0, I changed the permission to read and write for the world, and I still can't get it to connect correctly. I have found posts on google that the problem is related to win2k having 6 serial ports. I tried to delete two ports, but that does not seem to work either.
