Hi. I have a SCSI Plextor Plexwriter 12/10/32S (PX-W1210S) that doesn't get identified by SuSE 9 as being a CD-R device. When I use cdrecord --scanbus, it sees the drive as "0,4,0 4) 'PLEXTOR ' 'CD-R PX-W1210S' '1.01' Removable CD-ROM". When I try YaST2, go into hardware and then CD Devices, it sees the device but does not indicate that it has writer capabilities. It creates the device link from /dev/sr0 to /dev/cdrom11 and mount point /media/cdrom11 When I try control panel -> CDBakeOven -> CD-ROM Devices, it sees the device and has a golden icon listed for it, but if I click on details, one of the lines says cdrecord: Invalid argument. Invalid lun specifier in '00,04,00'. Cannot open SCSI driver. Any ideas? Also, what group do I have to add users to in order to allow them to write CDs? Thanks, mike.
