Way to set KDE to remember last window size and postiion?
Is there a way to have KDE remember the last used window size (even between sessions). I like to have my browser usually open up maximized or maybe I want to set a work area and have the windows always open to the same position even after closed. This would be great if it's an option that I'm just missing. Thanks, -- Rick

Hi Rick, If you're using konqueror than you have various options by going to Window->Save View Profile 'Web Browsing' (or whatever your basic web browsing profile is named). You're offered the options of changing the name of the profile, saving the window size, renaming it and saving the urls. I have one profile set up as ie55_98 to satisfy a certain credit card company that apparently doesn't like native konqueror. hth, Ken

Ok that's cool. Thanks. What about all the other windows though or is it just up to each individual application? -- Rick

If you right click the little decoration on the left corner of the window, a menu should drop down that includes a 'store settings' option. I'm pretty sure that will save the window position/size.

Thank you! That is exactly what I was looking for. -- Rick

Cool.....but be aware that it is a toggle and if active will continue saving whatever postition it detects upon closing the program. If inactive you lose your settings and the default kicks in.
