Carl, I think the file needs time to propagate and catch up with the indexes. The only place I find the actual file is: http://widehat.opensuse.org/update/11.4/rpm/noarch/timezone-java-2011i_2011j... -- David C. Thanks, David I kinda figured that might be the case. But it's the first time I've experienced it directly instead of reading on the list about other people's problems with propagation, so I thought a note here might be warranted. I'll try it again later this evening. regards, Carl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

No. The mirrorbrain.org approach doesn't need propper propagation. The brain knows about the state = does the requested file exist on the closest mirror. If it doesn't exist you don't get redirected. If you get redirected nevertheless something is broken and needs to be addressed via a bug report. But there might be a race condition. If the content at the mirror gets deleted it takes some time till the database of mirrorbrain gets updated. Nevertheless we need to identify the causing mirror. And this information is in your logs and therefore bugzilla is the way to go. Lars -- Lars Müller [ˈlaː(r)z ˈmʏlɐ] Samba Team SUSE Linux, Maxfeldstraße 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany

Hi Lars, The system updated properly later in the evening, but if you'd like I'll send you a log file to review. I'm a little busy and not exactly sure what errors / text I'd be looking for. Thx! Then either mirrorbrain cleaned up the database or you got redirected to a different mirror. What exactly happened is only known by the logs. It doesn't help to send me the logs as I'm not in charge with the components doing the update work and therefore do not have the required knowledge to interpret the logs. Please go down the bugzilla route. Thanks! Lars -- Lars Müller [ˈlaː(r)z ˈmʏlɐ] Samba Team SUSE Linux, Maxfeldstraße 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany
