[opensuse] Annoying features in Amarok
Since installing the latest Amarok on 15.1, I've noticed a couple of annoying "features". First, I now get a pop up message with the song title. Since I'm not deaf, I really don't need a pop up telling me what song is starting. The other, more serious "feature" is it stops playing after several songs. I have been using Amarok for a few years and not experienced these before. Any ideas? I have gone into the settings and turned off anything I could find about notifications, but they still happen. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Are you using the git version, or the stock 15.1 version? -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.0 x86_64 at Telcontar)

Well, there you have: You are using a not fully tested development version. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.0 x86_64 at Telcontar)

Bear in mind, though, that the version 2.9.0 from the Main/OSS repo is still based on KDE 4.14 and will be dropped once support for KDE4 is ended. The version 2.9.0.git.xxxx in KDE:Extra is ported to KDE Frameworks 5.58 and will (or should) survive. -- ============================================================== Rodney Baker VK5ZTV rodney.baker@iinet.net.au CCNA #CSCO12880208 ============================================================== -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Sure. But that is of no consequence for Leap. At that point, the entire Leap will have to switch. Hopefully that should happen at the release of 15.2 or 15.3, so be thoroughly tested. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.0 x86_64 at Telcontar)

The pop ups don't appear with the Tumbleweed version, but the player still stops, to the point I have to quit the app and restart. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Can't say, currently I use Clementine, which is a fork with less features, but possibly better developed. And smaller memory print, which I need now. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.0 x86_64 at Telcontar)
