problems with YaST module bootloader - GRUB
Hallo, manual editing of /boot/grub/menu.lst in the YaST bootloader (version 2.12.33) module causes some problems: adding following lines to the top - serial --unit=1 --speed=9600 terminal --timeout=8 serial console - hitting OK, YaST creates a completly new configuration file with following content: # Modified by YaST2. Last modification on Tue Sep 12 17:35:02 CEST 2006 color white/blue black/light-gray default 0 timeout 8 ###Don't change this comment - YaST2 identifier: Original name: floppy### title Floppy chainloader (fd0)+1 ###Don't change this comment - YaST2 identifier: Original name: 2.6.13-15.11-default### title 2.6.13-15.11-default kernel (hd1,4)/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.13-15.11-default root=/dev/hdb5 vga=0x31a selinux=0 resume=/dev/hdb6 splash=0 showopts initrd (hd1,4)/boot/initrd-2.6.13-15.11-default (info: the vga mode is invalid for my videocard) why can't i edit the configuration file the way i mentioned at the top? entering it manually in GRUB works.. thanks again Paul
