RE: Re: [SLE] SuSE FTP and .iso images?
Even sex isn't free, you pay for it one way or the other whether you realize it or not. Keep that in mind next time your getting some!! I purchased 7.3 not two months ago, and have already purchased 8.0, I think that I will probably upgrade every other one, I know that it is money well spent, and it puts SuSE one step closer to being on top as a home users desktop standard, which is something that I would really like to see, I'm sick of walking thru B-Buy or C-USA and hearing people say, "AND YES, THIS ONE COMES WITH THE LATEST AND GREATEST WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION" it makes me want to freakin' puke right there. Spend the $$$, you'll be glad that you did. Ben Rosenberg <ben@whack.org> wrote:

Yes, I'll format your email for you. Please wrap the text so that it's readable...72-78 characters.
You can buy the upgrade version every single time you buy a new version if you like. I mean it's $49.95 for the upgrade (pro w/ out all the books and support) and this would be about $150.00 a year which is much cheaper then any other platform. You don't have to do every version either. You could do 8.0 then 8.2 then 8.4 then 9.0 and be perfectly happy. I'm still running 7.2 at work and I went from 7.1 to 7.3 at home. You do not have to upgrade every single time. But I will also say that I don't think that SuSE should have to put .iso's up or much worry about "giving everyone a free beer". They are a business ..in business to make money. They do more then enough to help the community and if people don't like this sad fact of life..then it's all open source and can be put together when and how it suites the person.
*shrug* Same ole stuff..everytime there is a new release. I think SuSE could do a release once a year and that would be to much for people.
