When will support of SuSE 8.2 end?
I remember that SuSE guarantees only 2 years of support. As the two years are over for 8.2, does anybody know how long this support (security updates) will be provided?

Pretty soon, when 9.3 is available fully on the ftp server. I am not fully aware of the date, but still in June. Ciao, Marcus

8.1 was desupported just prior to 9.3 coming out, so, assuming 9.4 comes out after about a 6 month interval, you could well see the desupport notice shortly before that (pretty soon, I suspect). Greg Wallace

Are security updates etc still available in an archived format? I have a copy of 6.2 that I want to run on an old PC and would like to patch it as much as possible. -- Take care. Kevan Farmer 34 Hill Street Cheslyn Hay Staffordshire WS6 7HR

I don't know about the "archived format" you mentioned, but probably you would like to check e.g. this folder: ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/discontinued/i386/update/ Pelibali Ps. Most of the mirrors don't take the tree under './discontinued', but the above ftp.gwdg.de server is one of the few exceptions.
