Hello... Do to the nature of things, I have to run three operating systems on my computer - ok, I like to tinker :) Now, my problem is this: This drive is in an older computer, and while BeOS and Linux recognize the entire drive easily, I cannot get Windows to boot without using a third-party program such as EZDrive or Disk Manager. But, my BIOS (A Phoenix - version 4.04) recognizes my drive with the following parameters whenever I use the autodetect drive parameters setting: Cylinders: 16383 Heads: 16 Sectors: 63 Size: 8455 MB This drive does support LBA (obviously), and performs wonderfully when I'm not running Windows/DOS (I wonder why? :) The chipset in this old Pentium is one of those wonderful CMD-640's... :( I have tried using both FAT16 and FAT32 filesystems as my primary partition. I know about and understand the various 1024 cylinder limits imposed by the various bootloaders and such. My original intention was to have a partition for Windows of about 500 MB as the first primary partition, have the Linux partitions live inside an extended partition (partition number 2), and then have BeOS use up the rest of the disk... If anyone cares, I need Windows so I can play the Star Wars: Phantom Menance game... :) I would just like a way to use all of these OSes without the use of that stupid EZDrive! Can anyone help? I DO NOT Care if any fix requires me to hose all the data on the drive - I have everything I need backed up anyways :) Thanks for any assistance you can provide in advance! :) Brian - aka Moriarty
