Sorry folks, I guess I should have been more clear. THis shows up in the messages log. take a look at /var/log/messages. I'm running a roll-yer-own kernel, so perhaps I missed something. From /etc/conf.modules:

alias net-pf-10 ipv6 So it's obviously IPv6 Support. Change it to alias net-pf-10 off if you don't have that module.
