The fetchmsttfonts script places them in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype (on my machine, anyway).
Same here.
The script takes care of generating the appropriate font files, etc. To use them, try logging out of you X session, and then (assuming you are running KDE's display manager) from the login dialog, click the button that says restart the X server. If that doesn't work, just reboot :-)
Now, from the KDE toolbox under the Look and Feel/Fonts you should see some new fonts show up, such as Arial, Comic, verdana, etc. You can click on the anti-aliasing checkbox as well, although this will require another X server re-start.
Well know, here comes the problem. I am not seeing any new fonts listed, even after reboot. Where did they go to??? On Monday 18 March 2002 23:00, Fred wrote:
Brian, what's the max. size of a file attachment your ISP will allow? I have 2 ttf archives I can send to you, depending on the file size restrictions.
The max is 1.2 MB. Assuming I have cleared out the IN tray ;-) Cheers, Brian
