Hi - I am running OpenSuSE 15.2 x64 on my laptop with the KDE Plasma desktop. I got an update notification yesterday for a security update for VLC but when I try to install it I get an error message - vlc-codecs-3.0.11.1-pm152.2.11.2.x86_64 requires vlc-noX = 3.0.11.1, but this requirement cannot be provided If the Packman repository is needed to resolve this issue then I have another problem to resolve. If I try to enable and use the Packman repository I get the following error - An error occurred during repository initialization. SKIP request: User-requested skipping of a file History: - Permission to access 'http://packman.inode.at/suse/openSUSE_Leap_15.2/repodata/repomd.xml' denied. What do I need to do to resolve these problems? Thanks in advance for any advice. Use YaST instead of packagekit, and change the packman server to another mirror. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)

Happened to me some tine ago. Presumably a mirror change. It might be enough to remove packman (not the packages) with yast and read them again in with yast Peter

Thanks Carlos, that did the trick and apparently solved both problems that I reported. You get a twofer!
