[opensuse] Voice conference from PC to PC
What can I use in openSuSE in order to realize a voice conference from PC to PC, similar to the existing Yahoo Messenger's "Call Computer ..."? -- Bogdan Cristea -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
What can I use in openSuSE in order to realize a voice conference from PC to PC, similar to the existing Yahoo Messenger's "Call Computer
Skype... Ekiga.... Linphone... (and pretty much any other VoIP application) I regularly use Skype and Ekiga (with freecall.com or ekiga.net providing my SIP servers) for PC to PC, PC to Phone, and Phone to PC calls... and conference calls. Skype is probably the easiest (in my experience) when you have a mix of PCs/OSes, land lines, mobiles etc. C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Honestly.. I've never tried. The native Linux version of Yahoo Messenger is horrible. I use Pidgin for IM instead... and any time I've needed to call anyone (PC-Phone or PC-PC) I use Ekiga (+ my VoIP provider) first, and where that doesn't work (such as when calling someone using Windows and Skype) I use Skype. You could always try the Linux Yahoo Messenger and see if it allows you to call PC-PC. I have tried Linux Yahoo Messenger, but it does not seem to have PC to PC call option. On Tue, Apr 29, 2008 at 12:01 PM, Clayton <smaug42@gmail.com> wrote:

Please don't top-post. Yours has been fixed for you to show you where to properly post. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
