I really don't want to stir up another thread like the RH vs. SuSE here. But does anyone know what has happened to Linux Universe? It seems like they are nowhere to be found on the Net. C. J. Hello, I have a buslogic controller 958, connected to it I have an Archive 150Meg Tape drive. I have a program that wants to talk to it as a Block Device. How do I do this?? /dev/rmt0 is curently linked to st0 which is a character device. I noticed all the /dev/sg* devices are character as well :( The tape drive is SCSI id 3. Thanks Lach - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

I think you'll enjoy it! Runs "slick" here....getting more fond of KDE all the time. Fred -- Fred A. Miller, Systems Administrator Cornell Univ.
