The english version of 7.3 was just announced as being shipped on october 12 (the day *before* the german version??!!) and I went in to order. Previously, the upgrade version was available from SuSE but not from local retailers, so I was going to pre-order online. But it seems the upgrade version is gone?! Is this true? Is my only option a full-priced version? Anders

No, the update edition remains of course. More the opposite, for the future we'd have to think about better/more update options. How stupid would we be to neglect repeat customers, every book on marketing points out that those are the ones you want to have... Where did you try to order it anyway, it's not on shop.suse.com yet AFAI can see... Michael

There was a link to the order site (this is suse.de/en not suse.com), and it was there. Professional and personal. Not the upgrade. I tried to order now because I know from previous experience that it takes a long, long time for a package to cross the Baltic sea. Anders
