Re: [SLE] major Samsung frequency problems
I got round the problem rather by accident. I installed SuSE 8.0 which installs vga mode 791 by default. At the time I was using a 15" Belinea CRT monitor, so I did not have trouble. I changed to vga normal _before_ I bought my LCD monitor. As your X display is working OK, may I suggest you open a terminal window, su to root and edit the grub configuration file as suggested, or as the documentaton recommends. If lilo is any guide, you should then reload grub onto the mba and your problems should be solved with the next reboot. Although the workaround for the X display is not relevant to your problem, I mentioned it for the benefit of others that might have encountered similar problems. Hope this helps On Friday 30 May 2003 16:26, Michael George wrote:
I have X11 working okay. It's the text-mode stuff that's all fouled up.
And
this happens with the boot of the install disk, so my biggest hurdle is how do I do my final installation (right now I'm running on a test partition)??
Thanks!
