[opensuse] I can not disable service vmware
I get: Telcontar:~ # chkconfig vmware vmware on Telcontar:~ # chkconfig vmware off Usage: insserv [[-r] <script>] Options: --remove, -r Remove the listed scripts from all runlevels /sbin/insserv failed, exit code 1 Telcontar:~ # Telcontar:~ # systemctl disable vmware.service vmware.service is not a native service, redirecting to /sbin/chkconfig. Executing /sbin/chkconfig vmware off Usage: insserv [[-r] <script>] Options: --remove, -r Remove the listed scripts from all runlevels /sbin/insserv failed, exit code 1 Telcontar:~ # Telcontar:~ # insserv -r /etc/init.d/vmware Telcontar:~ # chkconfig vmware vmware off Telcontar:~ # Bug? Where? I guess here: Telcontar:~ # rpm -qf /sbin/chkconfig aaa_base-13.1-16.34.1.x86_64 Telcontar:~ # But: Telcontar:~ # chkconfig gpm gpm on Telcontar:~ # chkconfig gpm off Telcontar:~ # chkconfig gpm gpm off Telcontar:~ # chkconfig gpm on Telcontar:~ # chkconfig gpm gpm on Telcontar:~ # which is also not a native service, and is redirected to /sbin/chkconfig. So maybe there is something wrong in the vmware script :-? -- Cheers Carlos E. R.
