I have been waiting til some of the strange dependency problems are worked out to try 7.1. Since it didn't work for you, I would suggest using the ncurses yast to reinstall 6.9. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Couldn't do it with yast, but downgraded/removed all 7.1 to 6.9 and have X back. Changed no other pkgs that did not conflict. :^( but now have lost the <ctrl><alt><f-key> to the "vt1-6" screens. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Well, color me dense. I find nothing that appears to relate the the key combination to switch consols. I find where the consols are defined, but .... tks, -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
