Nabil, I am not sure whether I understand what you want to do. Are you trying to execute a file with an '.exe' extension under Linux? Or have you created a file for Linux (i.e.. a script) with a Windows editor and now you want to execute it under Linux? If it's the latter, the problem might be the difference in handling CR/LF under DOS/Windows and Linux (Unix). Try to open the file with an editor on Linux (pico would be easier than vi for me) and have a look into it, make your changes there and save. Then try to execute this again. Hope that helps. I've seen this problem when a friend of mine burnt a bunch of shell scripts to a CD. In that case, I got the very same error message, even though everything seemed to be fine. I thought it could have been due to a filesystem issue, especially since my friend burnt the CD in Windows. Does that make any sense? Anyone can enlighten us as to why we get this error? -- Nitebirdz http://www.linuxnovice.org Tips, articles, news, links... -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
