I am having problems with getting any sound out. I have followed the directions for installations of oss with the distribution. In kde kmix complains that it is unable to contact the mixer. 'soundon' gives a positive response, but otherwise makes no difference. My sound card is an OPTI pnp. This I have selected in oss configure utility.
