"fe80::1" is almost certainly an ipv6 uplink route, and "%wlan1" just says on which device. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (25.9°C)

Yes, that far I got :-) Apparently in this temporary apartment I have IPv6. Starts with 2a0c:... https://www.whatismyip.com/ says I don't have an IPv6 public address, but I have an IPv6 one. I also have a fe80:... local address. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from openSUSE 15.3 (Legolas))

Yes, that far I got :-)
It would appear that the avahi-daemon doesn't work with that, that's all.

2a0c::/29 belongs to a Norwegian country called TIMEIT AS.
I also have a fe80:... local address.
Everybody does when IPV6 is enabled :-) Link-local is essential for IPv6 operations. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (27.6°C)

Yep. I did not notice at all that there is no IPv4 available till now, and we arrived on Wednesday. What I noticed is that they seem to block port 25, and Telefónica mail insists on clients using it, and does not provide service on the submission port. So for sending I have to temporarily connect to my Telefónica phone instead, or: Legolas:/etc/postfix # tail sender_canonical robin.listas@telefonica.net robin.listas@gmx.es which as you see, works. Not the first time I use this very trick in this laptop. Connections are going out on IPv4 somehow, though: <2.6> 2022-07-15 18:37:36 Legolas postfix 16289 - - Trusted TLS connection established to mail.gmx.es[212.227.17.184]:587: TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (2048 bits) server-digest SHA256 Something is doing a translation somewhere. Ohh! Now https://www.whatismyip.com/ says I do have a public IPv4 address, so all that I said is moot. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from openSUSE 15.3 (Legolas))

You have ipv6 enabled, but it doesn't look like wlan1 has been brought up -- fe80::1 is a link-local address.
