Hi all, Most of my sound system is working great, but it seems that I don't have a running MIDI system. I'm looking for MIDI to generate audio output through my sound card, I'm not looking to drive external MIDI this way (at least not right now). The soundcard is builtin, its reported as IXP150, and the kernel has loaded: snd_seq_dummy 3716 0 snd_seq 52752 3 snd_seq_dummy snd_seq_device 8588 2 snd_seq_dummy,snd_seq snd_pcm_oss 57888 0 snd_mixer_oss 18944 1 snd_pcm_oss snd_atiixp 19936 3 snd_ac97_codec 77564 1 snd_atiixp snd_pcm 92680 4 snd_pcm_oss,snd_atiixp,snd_ac97_codec snd_timer 24580 3 snd_seq,snd_pcm snd 60292 15 snd_seq_dummy,snd_seq,snd_seq_device,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_atiixp,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm,snd_timer soundcore 8928 1 snd snd_page_alloc 9988 2 snd_atiixp,snd_pcm When I run MIDI tools, they silently sit there and appear to think they're sequenceing, but no sound comes out. I've tried to set all the volume levels I can find to max, but I might have missed something. How do I start debugging this? Am I even asking for something that can be done, or do I have to run midi through timidity and turn it into a wave file? TIA Cheers, Simon "You can tell whether a man is clever by his answers.
