Hi, I've had two VFS OOPS's with SUSE 10.0 just within few days of running it. This box was previously running 9.1, and was perfectly stable with it. Luckily didn't have panic on oops enabled on this one :/. Some known shonk you guys are already aware of? Having a look at these, the other one occurred in mntput (via __fput) while trying to set mnt_expiry_mark to zero. Ever since I started trying to submit a bug report yesterday, I get nothing but this once I log in: -==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==- Software error: Undefined subroutine &main::ValidateNewUser called at Bugzilla/Auth/Verify/iChain.pm line 204. For help, please send mail to the webmaster (webmaster@novell.com), giving this error message and the time and date of the error. -==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==- Since I have a kernel (or Reiser FS) problem, I'd really like to report it, but so far have been thwarted. Is anybody working on it? I did send a message including the aforementioned error text to the webmaster at novell.com, as requested.

Are you getting an OOPS? If so, could you post it? Just to see if you're having similar problems that i am. -- // Janne

I tried again this morning and it's still not working. Does anybody actually read mail sent to that address?

Yes, but I guess only 8/5 (not 24/7) ;( ... I'll try to contact IS&T on that. Regards Christoph

Novell IS&T has informed me on the ongoing bugzilla problems. They are working on fixing this problem, but might not be able to fix them until Monday. To validate your newly created accounts, until Bugzilla is fixed, please use https://secure-www.novell.com/selfreg/jsp/protected/validateEmail.jsp as a workaround. Regards Christoph

Hey, thanks. I'll do that. ... Except that it just takes me to the Novell.com home page. Manually going back to bugzilla after that authentication (which I did back when this problem originally cropped up) just shows me the same old diagnostic page.

Done - had a third OOPS today. This time it didn't even manage to write EIP (OOPS) because it completely lost VFS IO. However, after the OOPS system ran for an hour even with NMI watchdog enabled. -- // Janne
