[opensuse] Rdesktop still crashing - Irritating
I'm still having problems with rdesktop freezing then dying after about 2 minutes of use on my primary workstation. I've tried deleting temp files, deleting my profile, running as root, -z and -m parameters, to no avail. Running in terminal, I get Error: send: connection reset by peer. Any help would be much appreciated - is there a log I can check for more information about why it's crashing? Sounds like the problem was caused by the other end.... Any chance there is a timeout issue? -- ----------JSA--------- Someone stole my tag line, so now I have this rental. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Sounds like the problem was caused by the other end.... Any chance there is a timeout issue? ------ Of my 3 openSUSE 11 machines, this is the only one exhibiting this behavior. I did notice that I had ver 1.5, and found ver 1.6 on the openSUSE buildservice. I'll see if this fixes the problem. Are you using rdesktop or krdc which is a wrapper for rdesktop? can you run rdesktop from the command line and tell us the error you are getting in the console? if running krdc please run it from the console and report error. Try using rdesktop natively without a krdc wrapper (if you are running krdc).. Ben Thanks, Ben I'm using rdesktop from a gnome terminal - I'm lucky if I get 2 minutes before rdesktop freezes and then crashes. Error: recv: Connection reset by peer I can remote to the same XP machine from other suse11 machines without issue, this problem is only happening on my main workstation at my desk. What keyboard layout are you using? Try changing it back to Generic PC keyboard.. see how it acts.. Ben -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
