printing pdf file
Hello: Up to openSUSE Leap 15.1 I could install Adobe Reader 9.5.5 (acroread) and I used it frequently to print documents. In Leap 15.3 I could not Adobe Reader make work. What program can I use for printing pdf documents, which has such options as "Fit to Printable Area" and "Shrink to Printable Area" in Adobe Reader? For example when I printed letter sized document on A4 paper I could use the Shrink to Printable Area option to make sure the whole page is printed (though with little bit smaller scale). Thanks, Istvan
Hi igor, evince will do the shrink /fit to paper and auto-rotation automatically. in some rare circumstances it did not print (on my more than 20 years old printer) then i have to use okular. simoN Am 03.01.22 um 14:47 schrieb Istvan Gabor:

I don't know about those options, I but I use Okular. It is far from perfect, and I do occasionally swear a lot, but in 90% of the cases it works. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (13.1°C)

When I need functionality not in Evince/Okular/Atril, I use the proprietary "Foxit for Linux" (version 2.4.x). I see it has "fit to printer margins", "auto rotate" and "auto center". If you want Acrobat Reader, you have to use a virtual machine. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)

master pdf editor has this feature. https://code-industry.net/free-pdf-editor/#get and aside from that, it also fits all my other needs for a PDF reader, even it is called "editor". -- Best Regards | Freundliche Grüße | Cordialement | Cordiali Saluti | Atenciosamente | Saludos Cordiales *DI Rainer Klier* DevOps, Research & Development

I did not know this program. It looks very promising. I also found that okular has a "Fit to printable area" option hidden in Print/Options/PDF options/Scale width pulldown. Thank you all, Istvan
