I finally could connect again reinstalling my linmodem driver. Now, after a very good session using internet, I disconnected and tried to connect again but the following message appears: "Device or resource is busy". Any idea? (I was using Wvdial) thanks for helping a. -- Adagilson Batista Bispo da Silva Bibliotecário FIOCRUZ-Centro de Pesquisa Aggeu Magalhães Fone 81 3302-6524

The next time you get locked out, check /var/lock for a file like LCK...ttyS3 if it's there, it's a modem lock and just delete it. Maybe your winmodem driver isn't removing it's lock properly? -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
