[S.u.S.E. Linux] stropts.h ??
I am trying to compile the examples from W. Richard Stevens' book. During the compilation, I got an error message saying: ptyopen.c:5: stropts.h: No such file or directory I find that there is no stropts.h on my machine. Can someone tell me how to get around this in Linux? I know this file exists on the AIX machines and SGI machines. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Regards, C. J. Amidst all of the excitement over KDE 1.0, we're missing out on another hot item of news -- Englightenment DR0.14 is due to be released soon, perhaps as early as over the weekend. I, for one, would be ecstatic to see this on the 5.3 CD-ROM set. It's full of new features and a complete rewrite of the E base code. Supposed to be very fast, too. Anybody else feel as I do, and hopeful that it can make it into 5.3? -- Glenn -- - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

Yes well how long has it been "due to be released soon"? A month? Two months? At least two months I think. :) -------------------------------------------------------------- <A HREF="http://privat.schlund.de/bartmoss/"><A HREF="http://privat.schlund.de/bartmoss/</A">http://privat.schlund.de/bartmoss/</A</A>> - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

You're right, you're right. But I've got a feeling that the awaited moment is finally here. Freshmeat has a public announcement on their site (which I couldn't get through to a few minutes ago, a rarity for them). Let's keep our fingers crossed. -- Glenn -- - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
Having an enlightenment bundled with the dist that didn't crash if you looked at the screen would be nice, but it probably won't be til 6.0 I hope 2.0.35 makes it in instead of 2.0.34 -- ==================================================================== Michael Lankton <A HREF="http://tasteslikechicken.ml.org"><A HREF="http://tasteslikechicken.ml.org</A">http://tasteslikechicken.ml.org</A</A>> ==================================================================== - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

Well, the earlier versions were _really_ bad and would crash something fierce. The SNAPS I have been compiling work pretty good. As I said before it has gotten much faster, and I really haven't had it crash on me. But it doesn't have all the functionality of a finish product and there are none of the mouse menus etc. that you'd expect. I think you'd still be pleasantly surprised if you compiled on of the recent DR14 samples. P.S. Why is it that all pro-WindowMaker people _Enlightenment_? -M One is most dishonest towards one's God; he is not _permitted_ to sin. mail: mjohnson@pop3.aebc.com - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e

Excitement over KDE? I'm waiting for Gnome. I am looking forward to the E release. I think the reason it's taken so long as hopefully they are going over it with a fine tooth comb to make this release TIGHT. I think Raster or someone said they wanted to solidify it so the next one can be more concerened with new features and not just another bug fix release. I will get it when it comes out. I'm not waiting for 5.3. Actually, wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't make it in 5.3 but the one after that. -M One is most dishonest towards one's God; he is not _permitted_ to sin. mail: mjohnson@pop3.aebc.com - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
