[opensuse] odd browser problem
HI all, I got a new problem! I installed SuSE 11.0 on my laptop, started the server etc. Now when I use the brower to look at my web site that I have on my laptop I get the "can't find page error" unless I'm connected to the 'net. IE connected to the 'net I can see my page, off the 'net can't. I've looked at all my settings and they seem correct. Can someone give a clue where to look? Thanks, JIM -- Jim Hatridge Linux User #88484 Ebay ID: WartHogBulletin -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Jim, it sounds like a name resolution issue - does your website name resolve when you're not connected, i.e. do you have bind running or a suitable entry in /etc/hosts? /Per -- Per Jessen, Zürich (24.9°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

OK, then check if the web server is running. Maybe it is automatically taken down when you disconnect from the net? Else, is it listening to the 127.0.0.2 address?
