This seems to be a X problem..... Do you have X configured for 640 X 480 for your default setting???????? (Look in your XF86Config) Phantasm wrote:
That worked!
It loads the map now but I am getting a totally new error message.
At the end of the message I get:
Input system initialized for SDLViewport0 Opening SDL viewport. Bound to SDLGLDrv.so Loaded render device class. Initializing SDLGLDrv... binding libGL.so.1 Resizing SDL viewport. X: 640 Y: 480 OpenGL appError called: Couldn't set video mode: Couldn't find matching GLX visual
Executing UObject::StaticShutdownAfterError Executing USDLClient::ShutdownAfterError Executing USDLViewport::ShutdownAfterError USDLGLRenderDevice::ShutdownAfterError Signal: SIGIOT [iot trap] Aborting. Exiting. Name subsystem shut down
Not sure what this all about, I think its possibly a driver issue, but again, not sure of it.
I am using a Matrox G450 with the GLX drivers running in X.
I will still be looking, but if anyone is familiar with it, any help would be appreciated!

Try this: Option "IgnoreEDID" "1" And set DefaultDepth to 16 bit, seems to help. Mine is set up like this in X Section "Device" BoardName "GeForce 2 MX" BusID "1:0:0" Driver "nvidia" Identifier "NV AGP" Screen 0 VendorName "Nvidia" Videoram 32768 # DacSpeed 350 Option "NvAGP" "1" Option "FastVram" Option "Accel" "On" Option "IgnoreEDID" "1" EndSection Also Make sure there are some entries in the UnrealTournament.ini file for both the regular one in the System dir of UT and the one in <your home dir>/.loki/System. I got these from both nvidia and lokigames. Check these out: [Engine.Engine] GameRenderDevice=SDLGLDrv.SDLGLRenderDevice WindowedRenderDevice=SDLGLDrv.SDLGLRenderDevice RenderDevice=SDLGLDrv.SDLGLRenderDevice [SDLGLDrv.SDLGLRenderDevice] UseTNT=1 UseGammaExtension=0 UseModulatedGamma=0 UseS3TC=1 OpenGLLibName=/usr/lib/GL/libGL.so.1.0.1251.nv_glx [OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice] UseTNT=1 UseGammaExtension=1 UseModulatedGamma=0 UseS3TC=1 OpenGLLibName=/usr/lib/GL/libGL.so.1.0.1251.nv_glx Although the look of the drivers is very nice and KDE loads faster and operates smoother, the drivers don't appear to be optimized - look for the next release to kick arse. Getting closer each step!!! The IgnoreEDID worked and got me into the game, but now its all choppy and strange! I know its not because my hardware is slow, Again, I got a speedy little Video Card, the box itself is a Duron 700 with 384M of PC133 SDRAM. hehe On to the next step of researching this for me :o) ~Robert K Davies On 21 May 2001 17:05:02 -0500, Curtis Rey wrote:

Hmmm, don't know much about your Matrox G450......... So I can't help you with that....... But you could get some help on "news.lokigames.com" server with the newsgroup "loki.games.ut"..... Seen some people who used a matrox card there....... Good luck with your card...... Phantasm wrote:

I finally got it! It kepy pulling libGL.so.1 no matter what I choose, it picked that, so I made a symlink from libGL.so.1 to my libGL.so.1.2.xf86_glx and every game is working smoothly except in Soldier of Fortune where a lot of guys are trying to rip me apart :x ~Robert On 22 May 2001 15:22:08 +0200, S. This seems familier, this is also done with "switch2xf86_glx" command...... Damn why didn't I think of that. ;-) ......... Phantasm wrote:
