PPC Newbie Has Questions Before Mac Mini Install
I'm thinking of installing 10.0 on a Mac Mini. I've a fair amount of experience with SUSE and other distributions on Intel, but zero experience on PPC hardware. So, a couple of questions come to mind: 1) I won't be dual booting with OS X. Does yaboot or anything else muck about with the boot sector enough to make re-installing OS X problematic, if I decided to do that in the future? 2) Can I use my existing Mac fonts? How? Of course, I'd also like to see comments from anyone already running on a Mac. Thanks, billg

Clean your hd with "dd" and zap your PRAM. Then you can reinstall OS X.

Never tried.

Works. Some packages especially some devel-packages are still missing. But I think they will be included in final. -- mdc

What's the file format of these fonts? What does "file" say about them if you copy them to a Linux system? Untested: Try t1unmac from t1utils package, see man t1unmac for details. If you need something to manage your fonts - see signature ;-) Regards, Christian Boltz -- Fontlinge developer Fontlinge - font management for Linux / Schriftenverwaltung für Linux Infos and Download: http://www.gesindel.de
