Are you running mailing lists using Mailman? If so then the cron job is needed as it the process that handles messages as they come in. If you're not actually using Mailman, you can simply 'rpm -e mailman' or comment out the line in the crontab. - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE7d9EY+FOexA3koIgRAitKAJoDF+36nly/NdJg0A/LPrDMWXjQAQCgtzFj tQWrsYtkEnQIIUkgt9OWyZw= =776k -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

I reduced it to every 5 minutes on my mailserver, since it was unable to keep up while it was receiving incoming mail at the same time - the previous qrunner job would not complete before the next one started, and the whole machine spiralled down into a vicious circle of swapping itself to death (it is a 486 DX2/66 with only 16 MB of RAM). -- David Smith Tel: +44 (0)1454 462380 (direct) STMicroelectronics Fax: +44 (0)1454 617910 1000 Aztec West TINA (ST only): (065) 2380 Almondsbury Home: 01454 616963 BRISTOL Mobile: 07932 642724 BS32 4SQ Work Email: Dave.Smith@st.com Home Email: David.Smith@ds-electronics.co.uk
