Open Office no longer starts
SuSE 9.1 upgraded to KDE 3.3 -- OpenOffice fails to start. I don't know that this problem started when I upgraded to KDE 3.3 or not, but I think so. Here is output when started from the command line...
OOo-writer Starting /opt/OpenOffice.org/program/swriter... soffice.bin: kdecore/kcmdlineargs.cpp:159: static void KCmdLineArgs::init(int, char**, const KAboutData*, bool): Assertion `argsList == 0' failed. Aborted
Anything I can do? -- Robert C. Paulsen, Jr. robert@paulsenonline.net

This was covered a few weeks back. You can check the list archives a SuSe.com. There was a simple work-around involving a minor edit to one of the OOo start-up scripts. But I also seem to recall that a later release of the supplementary updates for KDE 3.3 fixed the problem. Or am I confusing that with something else?

I believe that it was corrected, but requires a restart of X. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos
