SuSE version of kernel 2.2.17 source location?
Hey Gang, Just looking for the source location of SuSE's version of 2.2.17. The non-SuSE version I pulled down from kernel.org compiled just fine but no modules for PCMCIA were included after make modules and make modules_install, so my laptop was network handicapped. I reverted back to 2.2.16, but would like to find the official SuSE version of 2.2.17 with PCMCIA modules. Any help would be appreciated. jpg

John, Kernel 2.2.X didn't include any PCMCIA stuff. Modules you once had were from Davind Hinds pcmcia-cs package. You should be able to get them back by downloading this package here: ftp://projects.sourceforge.net/pub/pcmcia-cs/ Or simply install the package from SuSE's CD's, if you have them. Good luck. /nb ________________ Nicolas Beaulieu http://patagonia.dyndns.org Teamwork is essential: it allows you to blame someone else. _________________

Are you OK with 2.2.18 as well? If so, get it from here: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/mantel/next Bye, LenZ -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Lenz Grimmer SuSE GmbH mailto:grimmer@suse.de Schanzaeckerstr. 10 http://www.suse.de/~grimmer/ 90443 Nuernberg, Germany The buck doesn't even slow down here.
