Can't locate module char-major-226
I see this message in my xconsole: May 21 19:44:52 xearo7 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-226 I do not think it is a big problem but how could I get rid of this without doing any major damage? Praise

char-major-* and block-major-* are usually aliased to more obviously named modules. For char-major-226, /usr/src/linux/Documentation/devices.txt sez: 226 char Direct Rendering Infrastructure (DRI) 0 = /dev/dri/card0 First graphics card 1 = /dev/dri/card1 Second graphics card ... If you don't want to get the error, first make sure that the string char-major-226 doesn't appear anywhere in /etc/modules.conf, and then put in the line alias char-major-226 off somewhere. -tara
