I have SuSE 6.2, KDE 1.1.2, kernel 2.2.10, SB AWE 64. Sound working without problem except in mpeg files. I cannot hear sound. In KDE i'm using aKtion 4.0. Please, help me.

aKtion is based on xanim, which has always been unusably poor IMHO. Try using mtv from the play series - much better and sound works, but you have to register the GUI version. (That is, mtv is shareware, mtvp is freeware. IIRC!)

There is another good and free Mpeg-Player. Smpeg 0.33 .
