Are you really sure you need host-based access control in X? Actually, I hope this mechanism will be removed from the "production" version of X in the future since too many people use it without knowing how insecure it is. People think Linux is safer than MS-Windows but they don't realize there are many old concepts in Linux which, if not used cautiously, can make the system very insecure (telnet, ftp, .rhosts based authentication, NFS, ...) -- A.M.
