[opensuse] MS Edge...
I know. So don't say anything. But there is this repo: https://packages.microsoft.com/yumrepos/edge/ I just installed it on my Tumbleweed system. No idea why. Why not? It is based on Chrome anyway.

The install is 83 MB, which included all the language translations. So I think most of what it needed was already installed on my Tumbleweed system. The question is: what does it do that the other Linux browsers don't do? On Thu, Oct 22, 2020 at 11:47 AM Andrei Borzenkov <arvidjaar@gmail.com> wrote:

I guess you don't remember the browser wars, where MS did things a bit different and their servers would cause problems for other browsers. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I don't think MS have been doing that for a while. It caused them many problems as well. I would think it's more that MS-only stuff creeps in and then you need to use Edge instead of something else. That depends more on content providers than anything else. Yep, they've changed a lot since Bill & Steve left. I wonder if we'll see MS Office for Linux? ;-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

There are offices that would/could migrate to Linux if the main tool they use is there. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)
