you didnt say which environment you're using. i assume kde. if so, r-click on the icon and choose 'properties' and then click on the icon, sort of on the left side of the dialog box and search for the icon that way

Last time I looked it was in Edit->Preferences-> general ( I think) where you'll see soemthing that probably says "homepage" and offeres you choices of current page, blank, url (?) .. make your slection and close /restart to take effect... That's the general area.. I don't have it setupnow, but Moz/firebird is similar...
