Hi, A few weeks back someone was asking about digital audio editing. (Can't find the actual email) Anyway it may be worth looking at sweep. Sweep is a full-featured digital audio editor for GNU/Linux, BSD and compatible systems. http://www.metadecks.org/software/sweep/index.html Regards, Graham Smith ---------------------------------------------------------

Hi Graham, I believe that was me. Thankyou for the link. I joined the suse-multimedia list. (which is where I probably should have asked, anyway) I think everyone here was too busy installing 8.1, as I will be shortly, since I've learned that Alsa has a driver now for my Delta 44 PCI card. ;-) Also anxious to have a look at Ardour. Really want to put "Made with Linux" on the CD. Thanks again, Tom -- TRBishop SuSE Linux Pro 7.3 gnudad@charter.net

Sweep seems to work in SuSE8.0 but did require a bunch of libraries to be installed. Some maybe on SuSE80 distro. However I upgraded. GTK-1.2 was OK. curl-7.10.1.tar.bz2 libao-0.8.3.tar.bz2 libogg-1.0.tar.bz2 libvorbis-1.0.tar.bz2 sweep-0.5.7.tar.bz2 tdb-1.0.6.tar.bz2 vorbis-tools-1.0.tar.bz2 -- 73 de Donn Washburn __ " http://www.hal-pc.org/~dwash " Ham Callsign N5XWB / / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ 307 Savoy St. / /__ / / / \/ / / /_/ / \ \/ / Sugar Land, TX 77478 /_____/ /_/ /_/\__/ /_____/ /_/\_\ LL# 1.281.242.3256 a MSDOS Virus "Free Zone" OS Email: n5xwb@arrl.net Info: http://www.austinlug.org
