Cannot connect to ISP with Kinternet

I have setup the modem, etc. but when I try to dial with Kinternet, it comes up dials, connects, then sends dummy password where ISP comes back and says login/password pair mismatch. If I dial with KPPP, it connects with no problem. How do I get Kinternet to do the correct login and password? It is selecting the correct modem etc. Also had this problem with 7.3 on the desktop, but on the laptop, it worked with 7.3. Now, the laptop comes up with same problem. Art Fore

Here is the log from Kinternet. Looks like it is sending dummy logon and some unknown password. Does anyone know where is this coming from and how can I fix it? Put logon and password in wvdial.conf. Now it does not even connect! Just does abnormal termination.
