I have been trying to get icecast running on SuSE 9.1 Pro, having satisfied most dependancies, I thought I had everything covered . When I try to start the server it complains that 'libssl.so.4' is missing, and I have installed OpenSSL which should have satisfied this need. Where can one obtain the missing library or is there a SuSE rpm of icecast anywhere. Any help would be gratefully received.... Paul

Did you issue an 'ldconfig' or 'SuSEconfig' command as root after installing the library RPMs? Otherwise check with 'rpm -ql library-package | grep libssl.so.4' (w/o quotes and where 'library-package' is the openssl lib you installed) where does that libssl.so.4 reside and ensure that its path is included somewhere in /etc/ld.so.conf ... if now, just add it and execute 'ldconfig' again... Martin, Thanks for that I should known better, but I was too close to the woods. Once in a while we all need a kick to jolt us out our complacency. Once again thanks, Paul On Friday 19 November 2004 13:49, Martin Mielke wrote:

I'm using 9.2, but icecast was included in 8.0 Pro, and should have been in 9.1 (I would have thought). If you don't see it in Yast, double check your CD/DVD set. I'll have to check mine later on.
