Ben, I tried your way first, and that seems to have done it. All is working well. It makes sense to do it this way. Funny though, if I used any other MUA, say Xemacs, when I would send the message to my mqueue, it would do it immediately, cept for Mutt. Now, the mongrel is working fast again. The caching name server is installed by default. I have chosen to look up the IP numbers for outgoing and incoming mailservers, and these IP numbers I have used for the mail setup instead of the domain names provided by my ISP. It works fine.
