CUPS configuration tool password
I managed to set a username/password for the CUPS configuration tool at localhost:631 -- but now I can't remember how I did it, and I haven't been able to locate the doc that explains how to do it. Can anyone point me to that doc? Paul Abrahams

Wow, Paul - you are getting almost as bad as me! ;-) Seriously, the exact same thing happened to me the other day. As root in a console, type: lppasswd -g sys -a root Then you can assign your special CUPS password. Cheers, Malke -- "I have a cunning plan..."

The easiest way is from the command line lppasswd -a (add a user) username or lppasswd username (to change a passwd) -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2)
